EEL Program: Educate 2 Eradicate Literacy



The EEL Program which stands for Educate to Eradicate Literacy is an inititaive that develops programs to educate the community on various topics to include: Financial Worthiness, Importance of Edcuation, and Sefl-Awareness.

 

Programs offerings:

 

-Lifeology 101: Life Investment Series (Fall Quarter)

 

This is a 7-week course filled with interactive modules and assignments, designed to help individuals redefine themselves, establish goals, understand how to reach their goals, while learning to live a balanced and blessed life! Each participant or “Lifer” will work toward developing effective life plans and implementation strategies. By the end of this course, you should be able to:

 

  • Understand how your past affects your future.

  • Gain a better understanding of oneself & your individual learning preference.

  • Develop and utilize time management, goal setting, money management, and communication skills.

  • Identify the next step in your life plan and set goals for yourself.

  • Develop a healthy lifestyle plan.

 

 

 

-Computer Training Course (Spring Quarter)

 

This initiative is sponsored by the Virginia Commonwealth University, Department of Statistical Sciences and Operations Research for members of the community. 

 

The computer class will provide basic tips and information for using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and a fun interactive session on Google Docs and other social media sites. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ambassador Leader Youth Training

 

​Hannah's Women is an organization that udnerstands the trials and tribulations of today's youth. We are developing menor-mentee famly relationships between individuals of different ages by allowing interaction on a regular basis, in an effort to form brotherly-sisterly bonds based on the characteristics of respect. 

 

We instill in our youth that Leadership, Direction, Teamwork, and Love will conquer all!

 

 

Program Offerings:

 

-Attitude Reflects Leadership Training

 

This is a one-day workshop in which youth explore topics surroudning the development of leadership skills such as: Attitude, Respect, Timeliness, Discipline, and Teamwork.

 



 

Our goal is to partner with other oganizations in the Richmond, Petersburg, and Emporia areas to furtehr identify and assist with educating and shaping the community.
